The Big Honzo ST is the result of all of our favorite options coming together in a single bike. It’s steel, so it feels amazing. It has adjustable dropouts, so you can run a front derailleur or even as a single speed. It comes set up as 27.5+ but can run a 29" wheel. It’s got boost spacing for extra stiffness and control. It’s got an NX/SX Eagle drivetrain, so it climbs with ease. It’s the hardtail that gives you all of the options for customization but is also ready to rip right out of the box.
- Kona Chromoly Butted frame
- RockShox Revelation RC DebonAir 130mm fork
- SRAM SX Eagle 1x12 drivetrain
- SRAM Guide T hydraulic disc brakes
- WTB ST i35 TCS 27.5" rims w/Maxxis Minion/Rekon 2.8" tires
- Trans-X Dropper seatpost
Wider than standard yet narrower than fat, plus-size rims and tires hit the sweet spot in grip, stability, and speed, giving you more confidence on technical terrain. Compared to a standard tire you’ll feel grip in places you wouldn’t expect thanks to a bigger contact patch and greater rollover clearance. More air volume allows lower tire pressures which softens bumps and increases float on sand or snow. Whether you’re a novice or an expert, the benefits of plus-size tires and rims will amplify your mountain biking fun.
A dropper seatpost allows you to quickly lower and raise your seat to give you an ideal riding position. Dropping your seat creates a lower center of gravity for better control and maneuverability on steep descents, while raising it puts you at normal riding height for efficient pedaling.
Construction can include either hydraulic- or cable-actuated systems and the post’s travel can either be infinitely adjustable or stopped at set intervals, depending on the model.
Dropper seatposts come in standard lengths and diameters and vary by the amount of travel.
